Iryna Chepurnaya is a highly qualified physician and board-certified psychiatrist and neurologist with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. She specializes in treating patients with psychiatric and neurological disorders, with a particular focus on geriatric psychiatry.
Dr. Chepurnaya obtained her General Medicine degree from the Bogomolets National Medical University in Kyiv, Ukraine. She then completed her residency in Psychiatry at Maimonides Medical Center. Following by fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Medical Center,
Dr. Chepurnaya has been board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is licensed to practice medicine in New York and Pennsylvania,
Dr. Chepurnaya worked as an Attending Psychiatrist at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, New York, where she has been practicing since 2013.
She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Previously, Dr. Chepurnaya held positions as an Associate Psychiatrist and ECT leading provider at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA, and as an Attending Psychiatrist at Coler-Goldwater Specialty Hospital and Nursing Facility in New York, NY.
