Dr. Jessica Fagen, a Clinical Psychologist licensed in New York State, has established herself as a trusted provider who is compassionate and effective. Her excellent education and extensive training bring a wealth of expertise to her practice. Dr. Jessica Fagen joined our group in 2018. Her ability to create a flexible and soft therapeutic environment has resonated deeply with individuals under her care.
Having earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and holding a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, Dr. Fagen possesses a solid academic foundation. Her training experiences at renowned institutions, including the Icahn School of Mount Sinai in Manhattan and the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, have equipped her with specialized skills and knowledge.
Throughout her training, Dr. Fagen has focused on evidence-based interventions, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD treatment, and trauma-focused therapies like Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). With a good amount of perplexity, she navigates complex cases while maintaining a coherent and evidence-based approach.
In addition to her extensive training, Dr. Fagen completed an advanced CBT practicum at Ferkauf, where she provided comprehensive care to patients at the Max and Celia Parnes Psychological and Psychoeducational Services Clinic. This practical experience has further honed her cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) skills, ensuring robust and effective treatment strategies.
